A beautiful rescue cat found living near the bins behind a Greggs in Bradford. He’d been sprayed blue; the best guess was he was destined for dog baiting, and the rescue home picked him up just in time.

After being adopted by Stef Dawson, his wife Helen and son Finn, it took a good six months to socialise him around food and other animals; he had some rather unique characteristics, including scavenging in bins, and leaping off the counter into the fridge if it was left open for more than three seconds, then making off with whatever he could carry and growling at anyone who came near.

Nowadays, despite still not being what anyone would term a lap cat, he’s far more chilled. He’s a lovely, generally good-natured ball of fluff with an intense fear of tea towels and socks. And all the family love him to bits.
